Skiing Slovenia - Krvavec
We’re very excited to be offering Slovenia; the country is about the size of wales, lies just to the east of the northern corner of Italy and south of the mid south of Austria. If you’re looking for beautiful scenery, the entire country is breathtaking - the people are unbelievably friendly and openly welcoming and you will also find your money going further! Slovenia is not one of those countries that seems to vacuum money out of your pocket.! We offer 2 ski areas. The area of Krvavec (8km from Ljubjliana) and Cerkno (mid slovenia). Journey times from Calais by coach will be around 15-17hrs.
Krvavec has an excellent snow record with 35kms of excellently groomed piste. The resort normally opens I mid-late November, closes in late May. Access to the resort is by road up to the bottom of the main telecab. This takes you up the bottom station of the ski area. In the lift building is the ski hire shop. The ski school is a few metres further on. The beginners area is excellent well euipped to take skiers from absolute beginners status to skiing the slope very quickly. The gradation of skiing is very good. Beginners will be able to ski the mountain on easier runs once they progress from the beginners area. You have the choice of staying doorstep accommodation up the mountain, or down the bottom and commute in each day (those who commute can leave their skis and boots up the mountain).
